SALT LICK, Ky. (September, 12, 2025) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 8 Morehead, received a call for assistance from Bath County Dispatch at approximately 8:00 a.m. Bath County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 500 block of Main Street in Salt Lick, in reference to an unresponsive male located near the roadway.
Troopers and detectives responded to the scene and launched an investigation. Harold R. King, 59 of Salt Lick, was located laying in his yard near the roadway. Bath County EMS transported Mr. King to UK St. Claire Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced deceased by Rowan County Coroner John Northcutt. Foul play is suspected.
