Dry Ridge, Ky (February 2, 2026) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 6 in Dry Ridge is investigating two deaths at a residence in Pendleton County. The Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) received a call for a welfare check on Camille McClanahan around 11:00 p.m. on February 1, 2026. Upon arrival, PCSO deputies located two individuals deceased in the yard of the residence. At the request of the PCSO, KSP responded and took the lead in the investigation.
Through the course of the initial investigation, it appears that Camille McClanahan (40) of Pendleton County was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. James Hall (50) of Pendleton County was also found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound, which appears to have been self-inflicted.
This incident remains under investigation by KSP Post 6 Detectives. KSP was assisted by the Pendleton County Sheriff’s Office, Pendleton County EMS, and Pendleton County Coroner.
