Kentucky State Police Post 11 Traffic Safety Checkpoint

Announcement

London, KY. (December 1, 2025) — Kentucky State Police Post 11, which provides coverage for Clay, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne, and Whitley counties, will be conducting periodic traffic safety checkpoints at locations approved by the Kentucky State Police Policy and Procedures Manual.

In addition to these checkpoints, Post 11 troopers will also be conducting special traffic enforcement operations in high-collision areas utilizing radar, laser, and saturation patrols.

These enforcement efforts are designed to promote highway safety and reduce traffic crashes by targeting violations, including, but not limited to:

  • Seatbelt and occupant protection laws
  • Driving under the influence (DUI) and impaired driving
  • Registration and licensing violations
  • Motor vehicle equipment safety violations

The checkpoints and enforcement operations will be clearly marked and supervised in accordance with KSP policy to ensure motorist safety.
