(March 2, 2026) \u2014 Kentucky State Police Post 11, which provides coverage for\u00a0<strong>Clay, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Wayne, and Whitley<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>counties<\/strong>, will be conducting\u00a0<strong>periodic traffic safety checkpoints<\/strong>\u00a0at locations approved by the Kentucky State Police Policy and Procedures Manual. In addition to these checkpoints, Post 11 troopers will also be conducting\u00a0<strong>special traffic<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>enforcement operations<\/strong>\u00a0in high-collision areas utilizing radar, laser, and saturation patrols. These enforcement efforts are designed to promote highway safety and reduce traffic crashes by targeting violations, including, but not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Seatbelt and occupant protection laws<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Driving under the influence (DUI) and impaired driving<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Registration and licensing violations<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Motor vehicle equipment safety violations<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;The checkpoints and enforcement operations will be clearly marked and supervised in accordance with KSP policy to ensure motorist safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is a list of approved traffic safety checkpoint locations for Post 11.
