{"id":55939,"date":"2026-02-16T08:41:58","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T13:41:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kentuckystatepolice.ky.gov\/?p=55939"},"modified":"2026-02-16T08:41:58","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T13:41:58","slug":"p4-2-14-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kentuckystatepolice.ky.gov\/news\/p4-2-14-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Troopers Arrest Ohio County Man Following Grayson County Pursuit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(February 14, 2026)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Kentucky State Police Post 4 troopers arrested an Ohio County man on multiple charges and outstanding warrants following a pursuit that occurred Friday afternoon in Grayson County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 13, 2026, at approximately 3:12 p.m. CT, Trooper Hannah Keeling and Trooper Joey Beasley observed a black Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle traveling on Owensboro Road in the Caneyville community without a visible registration plate. Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, the operator failed to comply and a pursuit was initiated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pursuit was later terminated. Through investigation, the operator was identified as Ronald Geary, 49, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky. Troopers also determined Geary had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Troopers continued their efforts to locate Geary and on February 14, 2026, he was located and taken into custody without incident, less than 24 hours after the initial pursuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Geary was charged with the following offenses in connection with the pursuit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree \u2013 Police Officer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speeding 26 MPH or Greater Over the Speed Limit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator\u2019s License<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Signal \/ Improper Signal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improper Display of Registration Plates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improper Passing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reckless Driving<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speeding in a Restricted Zone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Geary was also served with warrants out of Ohio County for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flagrant Non-Support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wanton Endangerment, 2nd Degree \u2013 Police Officer<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (On Foot)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operating an Off-Road Vehicle on Public\/Private Land Without Consent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Appear on charges of Speeding 15 MPH Over the Limit and No Operator\u2019s\/Moped License<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Geary was served with warrants out of Warren County for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Speeding 21 MPH Over the Limit (Limited Access Highway)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operator\u2019s License<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to Signal \/ Improper Signal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reckless Driving<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following Another Vehicle Too Closely<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Geary was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted by Trooper Keeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p># # #<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky.\u00a0(February 14, 2026)\u00a0\u2013 Kentucky State Police Post 4 troopers arrested an Ohio County man on multiple charges and outstanding warrants following a pursuit that occurred Friday afternoon in Grayson County.
